Back-To-School Sales Tax Holiday
Most summers it seems that the kids are barely home long enough before it’s time for them to go back to school. This summer, however, some parents may be counting down the days until school starts back because of everything that has happened in the world in the past several months. After home-schooling the children and sheltering in place, I’m sure everyone is ready for a little normality.
School will be starting back in early August and you can’t wait until the last minute to get some new outfits for the kiddos. The Back-To-School Sales Tax Holiday is the perfect time to buy all your clothing needs for your child that is heading back to school or may be their first time going to school.
Sales Tax Holiday
If you are new to the area, you may not know what the Sales Tax Holiday is all about. Alabama’s 15th annual Sales Tax Holiday gives shoppers the opportunity to purchase certain school supplies, computers, books and clothing free of the state’s four percent sales or use tax. This year the holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 17, and ends at midnight on Sunday, July 19.
Back-To-School Clothes
We have a wide variety of selections in children’s clothing, shoes and accessories from newborn through size eight.
For your boys going back to school, we have short sleeved t-shirts and shorts in several different styles and colors. We also have polos and button-down shirts, along with pants.
For your girls going back to school, we carry dresses of all different styles and colors. We also carry full outfits as well as shorts and shirts. And don’t forget the accessories! We have a wide variety of shoes and hair bows.
But what if my child has to wear a uniform to school? You might now have any back-to-school clothing needs, but some new (and more comfortable) clothes to change into after school would be great! It’s nice to get out of those uniforms after a long day at school. Those school uniforms are often uncomfortable.
This sales tax weekend we will have great deals under a big tent! You can pick up some great bargains while you’re shopping on this tax-free weekend! Many items will be on sale. Check back for our special hours for this weekend only.
